Shout out to the most phenomenal group of women who have been keeping me sane since undergrad.
Sending lots of love back home to the person who completes me.
Why is my blog’s name “Oh, the Places Hayley’ll Go!”? My father used to read this book to me when I was a kid and tell me all the dreams he had for me: to travel, to experience life deeply and fully, and to be brave. This, like everything else that I do, is for you, Superman.

Welcome to my blog! I started this blog for a few reasons:

1) To stay connected to my friends, family, & loved ones back in the US
2) To create a space for my reflections (humorous, deep, insightful, obvious) as I spend a year in a brand-new country
3) To provide guidance for those interested in Fulbright/teaching English abroad/solo travelling with an enormous amount of anxiety

A little bit about me:
I grew up in New York City, where I have been deeply spoiled with fantastic food and exceptional public transportation. In 2019, I graduated from Stony Brook University with a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology, with minors in Health, Medicine, & Society and Writing & Rhetoric. I spent my time in college discovering my love of public health, social science research, mentoring first-year students, and tutoring. After studying abroad in India for a summer, I began a year with Avodah, the Jewish Service Corps. In this service corps, I spent a year at NYLAG as a paralegal, assisting older folks and individuals with disabilities navigate the public health insurance system. I spent a year with Women of Reform Judaism, developing marketing & communications strategies with a focus on a commitment to advocacy and DEI (diversity, equity, & inclusivity).

Outside of my academic and professional life, I’m deeply passionate about trying all the ice cream in a 50-mile radius, binge-watching stand-up comedy and writing my own terrible sets, and reading memoirs written by badass women.

Thank you for taking the time to be on this journey with me!
